Lasagna in a Fraction of the Time

I’ve been enjoying my new Instant Pot. I got it as a birthday gift from my parents because I would always tell them about how I don’t have enough time to cook. They didn’t want me going to fast food restaurants all of the time and putting on a lot of weight. I’ve seen a lot of recipes that could be made, but I didn’t think Instant Pot lasagna was one of them. That is, until I saw a video of someone making it. I had to try it out for myself, so on my next trip to the grocery store, I bought some ingredients to make lasagna.

I put all of the ingredients into the pot and close the lid. The pot started to cook the food and I left it to sit. I used the cooking time to clean up the house. I did all of the vacuuming, cleaned the bathrooms, dusted and polished the furniture, and even washed the windows, which I hadn’t done in a long time. Once the lasagna was done, I had worked up quite an appetite from cleaning and was ready to start eating it. I almost put some in my mouth without thinking about how hot it was.

The lasagna was better than any that I’ve ever made in the oven. I guess all of the pressure in the pot made all of the flavors come together in just the right way. If I had made the lasagna the old fashioned way, I would have needed to cook the meat, sauce, and noodles separately, and then combine them all into a tray and let them bake. This would have taken three times as long to do, and I wouldn’t have had time to do the cleaning. And then I would have had more dishes to wash.
